Intentional cruelty, or abuse is knowingly depriving an animal of food, water, shelter, or veterinary care, or maliciously torturing, maiming, mutilating, or killing an animal. It is a crime to abandon any animal or leave an animal tethered, or in a vehicle on a hot day. If you witness or suspect cruelty, it is your duty as a citizen to immediately report it to law enforcement at 209-966-3615. |
